This role will also support the development and implementation of best-in-class procurement policies, procedures and practices, as well as implement and manage ESCO purchasing processes and key performance indicators. Additionally, will identify opportunities and coordinate global activities to effectively manage total spend.<BR>Essential functions for this position include, but not limited to:<BR>? Ensure the Portland purchasing staff completes all necessary activities to procure goods and services in a timely and cost effective manager.<BR>? Lead or participate in major purchase activities where required to minimize ESCO spend and maximize gross margins.<BR>? Develop, negotiate and review contracts with key suppliers to meet ESCO business requirements.<BR>? Identify commercial opportunities and challenges, and partner with ESCO organizations and suppliers to mitigate risks and minimize spend.<BR>? Monitor and managed key supplier relationships and drive improvement for cost, quality and delivery performance.<BR>? Represent ESCO with clients, suppliers and business partners.<BR>? Develop and maintain a high-performance culture by identifying and developing key talent.<BR>? Ensure purchasing policies, procedures and practices are employed and executed locally.<BR>? Monitor global and Portland Purchasing key performance indicators to measure and improve procurement effectiveness.<BR>? Ensure Purchasing involvement in Oracle implementations and standardization.<BR>? Spend management - measure and drive reduction in controllable global purchasing spend.<BR>? Savings and cost avoidance - measure and drive acquisition cost improvements in Portland and for global commodities.<BR>? Buyer effectiveness - monitor and improve buyer performance for delivery credibility and purchase order management.<BR>? Standardization and controls - ensure Portland Purchasing meets all necessary internal control requirements.<BR>? Negotiations - deliver robust and timely commercial agreements and negotiated savings.<BR>?<BR>Job Requirements :<BR>REQUIREMENTS<BR>? Bachelor?s degree in business, engineering or relevant field, or equivalent professional experience is required. MBA or Masters in International Supply Chain Management preferred.<BR>? 10+ years purchasing/supply chain experience of progressive responsibility, leadership and achievement in a global organization, including 5+ years as a buyer, buyer-planner or commodity manager, and 3+ years in direct people management.
