The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $105,000 annually. This position is located on Marquam Hill.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> Quality Specialists are responsible for providing clinical quality and performance improvement expertise to enhance safe, effective, efficient, timely, equitable, patient-centered care. Quality Specialists help facilitate achievement of organizational quality priorities and Departmental goals through monitoring, assessment, analyzing, reporting, and facilitating improvement activities of clinical processes and outcomes. Quality Specialists partner with the Medical Staff Departments and Hospital Departments by providing consultation, data analyses, and reporting, and provide assistance in the development and implementation of annual departmental quality plans.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Required: Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Related Field; Master?s Degree or evidence of progression toward an advanced degree. Minimum three (3) years recent clinical healthcare experience in a hospital setting. Experience that demonstrates command of the knowledge for the Clinical Programs the specific position will work with, eg. Cancer, Surgical, Medical, Pediatrics, etc. Experience that demonstrates expertise in quality and performance improvement in healthcare and regulatory standards. Excellent knowledge base of quality improvement processes and tools. with proven record of accomplishment of strong leadership skills to ensure that improvement processes stick, priorities established, and are met. Excellent knowledge understanding of statistical analysis and reporting practices pertinent to quality improvement. Evidence of leadership, creativity, initiative and a diplomatic communicator. Expertise in presenting technical reports and leading group discussions with medical clinicians and administrators. vidence within last 2 years of working with teams requiring self-direction and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in office automation computer software including the Microsoft Office Suite of products. Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Current Oregon Nursing Licensure. Hospital Acute Care/Critical Care Experience. Knowledge, experience in Lean, Six Sigma, project Management and other performance improvement tools. Experience with statistical flow diagram programs. Certification in Healthcare Quality.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Normal office environment. Generally follows M-F 0800-1700 workweek with variability depending on Clinical Department and project needs. Extensive computer use. Frequent walking between buildings and to remote locations.
