<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Registered Nurse<BR> <BR>Department Cardiac & Medical Intensive Care Unit<BR> <BR>Location OHS 8C4<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> Cardiac & Medical Intensive Care Unit, KPV 12<BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> 0.9 FTE, 12-hour night shifts, 1900 - 0730, including every other weekend; Location: Marquam Hill.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The Registered Nurse, working as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, has the primary responsibility for and provides direct and indirect professional nursing care for patients. The Registered Nurse assesses patient and family needs, develops a plan of care, implements and evaluates the care delivered. Delivers care using the Modeling and Role-Modeling Nursing theory framework. The Registered Nurse is expected to practice in accordance with professional standards, core values, and with a commitment to service excellence. The RN performs requirements as outlined in Compliance Roles and Responsibilities in OHSU Hospital s and Clinics.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> REQUIRED: BSN. Current unencumbered Oregon Nursing License, BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Current ACLS certification. Two (2) years recent critical care experience with a minimum of one (1) year experience in a medical or cardiac ICU. Verifiable by reference: excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills, time management and organizational skills. Dependable work history. Fluency in oral and written English. PREFERRED: Telemetry experience, national certification in specialty area desired.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Orientation: 2 - 8 weeks relative to experience. Constant exposure to usual hospital environmental conditions including possible exposure to blood and body fluids for which staff is provided education and protective equipment to minimize risk. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, walk, climb stairs, sit at computer, reach, push, pull throughout work periods.
