               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Registered Nurse<BR> <BR>Department Medicine Intermediate Care Unit<BR> <BR>Location OHS 8C11<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> Medicine Intermediate Care Unit, UHS 7C<BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> 0.9 FTE; Days, 07:00-19:00, including every other weekend; Location: Marquam Hill.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The Registered Nurse works as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, providing direct and indirect professional nursing care for patients. The RN uses the nursing process to assess the patient?s needs, develop a plan of care, implements the plan, documents the plan, and evaluates the plan of care. OHSU RN Key Responsibilities: Develop, interpret, implement and document plan of care for each patient and safely delivers this care. Deliveries care using the Modeling and Role-Modeling Nursing Theory framework. The RN at OHSU practices in accordance with Oregon State Board of Nursing Practice Act and OHSU professional standards. The RN incorporates the organizational values into daily work activities. The RN performs requirements as outlined in Compliance Roles and Responsibilities in OHSU Hospitals and Clinics.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Current Oregon RN license. BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association. ACLS within 6 months of hire. One (1) year acute care medical/surgical nursing experience preferred. Applicants who successfully completed an Adult Acute Care immersion program or senior rotation in Adult Acute Care will be given priority. Communication skills including fluency in oral and written English. Verifiable by reference: Excellent communication and team skills, time management, work habits, customer service and dependable work history. National certification in specialty area desired.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Orientation: 3-6 weeks relative to experience. Constant exposure to usual hospital environmental conditions including possible exposure to blood and body fluids for which staff is provided education and protective equipment to minimize risk. Ability to lift, bend, stoop, reach, carry, push, pull and walk throughout the work period. Must be able to use all senses: seeing, hearing, touching, smelling, and speaking. Able to lift 50 lbs.
