<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Registered Nurse<BR> <BR>Department Perioperative Services<BR> <BR>Location OHS 6A4<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> Perioperative Services, South Operating Room, UHS 6A IntraOp<BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> 1.0 FTE, 12-hour Night shift 0700-1930 variable days; Location: Marquam Hill campus.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The Perioperative RN works as a member of an interdisciplinary team providing direct and indirect professional nursing care in the Circulating or Scrub roles. The RN has expertise in the application of the nursing process within the Perioperative setting, has the ability to manage stressful/unusual situations in a positive manner, and embraces the OHSU Core Competencies (Accountability, Collaboration, Communication, Diversity, Integrity, Respect, Service Orientation, Teamwork) into his/her practice. The RN must practice within Oregon law and adhere to AORN standards and recommended practices.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> REQUIRED: Current unencumbered Oregon Nursing License, BLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association. Minimum one (1) year current inpatient perioperative surgical nursing experience. Must be able to circulate within a variety of surgical specialties. No new grads. Must have excellent communication and listening skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a team, and the flexibility to delegate, prioritize, and adapt in stressful situations. Ability to multi-task and prioritize work flow. Ability to work as a team member in a interdisciplinary setting. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and electronic media. Must possess strong computer and word processing skills. Preferred: BSN. Two (2) - five (5) years experience working in a Level 1 Trauma Center. CNOR.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Orientation: 2 - 6 weeks depending on experience. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, walk, stand, stoop, bend, push, pull, reach, climb stairs, sit at computer, intermittently throughout work shift. Requires prioritization of multiple projects, activities, and assignments. May be exposed to excessive auditory and visual stimulaiton. May be exposed to body fluids, tissue, and infectious processes. Subject to computer work for several hours, as needed. Able to utilize all patient care equipment with work area.
