               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Registered Nurse Coordinator<BR> <BR>Department Hematology and Medical Oncology<BR> <BR>Location CHH<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> 0.4 FTE; Monday-Friday, variable schedule; Location: Center for Health and Healing at South Waterfront<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The Registered Nurse Coordinator is a key member of a multi-disciplinary patient care team, which includes Physicians, Residents, and other clinical and business support staff. The RN coordinator provides direct and indirect professional nursing care for patients. S/he assesses patient and family needs, assists in developing a plan of care, implements and evaluates the care delivered. The RN Coordinator serves as a key communication link between the patient, his/her family, and the care team. The RN Coordinator is a continuous advocate for patients and their families, ensuring that clinical and business systems are customer service focused. The RN Coordinator practices in accord with professional standards, core values, and with a commitment to service excellence. The RN reports to the Practice Manager in Hematology/Medical Oncology. The Hematology/Medical Oncology practice provides total family-oriented medical care in a practice setting staffed by faculty (Physicians, Nurse Practitioners) as well as fellows and residents of Oregon Health and Science University. The Practice coordinates care five days a week. The Hematology/Medical Oncology Practice provides age appropriate care to patients age 15-65 +<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Required: Current State of Oregon Registered Nurse License; Two (2) years experience in nursing; Professional Demeanor; Strong triage skills; Organizational Skills; Leadership ability demonstrated by role modeling; Communication skills; At least one (1) year experience providing nursing skills over the phone; Requires BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross; Chemotherapy Certification (within 6 months of hire); OCN (within 1 year). Preferred: BSN, NP, or MSN; Recent experience in an Ambulatory Oncology setting; Demonstrated experience in patient and family education, including development of teaching materials; Recent experience in an Ambulatory setting; Current OCN certification<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Located at the Center for Health and Healing. Operation hours/days: Monday-Friday 8am-6:30pm. Office and clinic activities. Significant telephone work. Additional office time is required for coordination purposes.
