               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Registered Nurse / Pre Transplant Coordinator<BR> <BR>Department Kidney Transplant<BR> <BR>Location CSB 570<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> KidneyTransplant Services, CSB 581<BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> 1.0 FTE / Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Shared night, weekend, and holiday on-call. On-call will be 3-10 days/month for 16-88 hours at a stretch in addition to regular working hours / Location: Marquam Hill.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The RN/Transplant Coordinator working as a member of an inter-disciplinary team is integral to Clinical Transplant Services. The RN/Transplant Coordinator functions as a liaison between the patients and staff members of the transplant team (physicians, social worker, financial counselor, psychiatrist, etc.) and has the primary responsibility for providing direct and indirect professional nursing care for patients. The RN/Transplant Coordinator assesses patient and family needs, develops a plan of care, implements and follows the evaluation plan per established protocol working closely with all members of the inter-disciplinary team. The Registered Nurse is expected to practice in accordance with professional standards, core values, and with a commitment to service excellence.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Current, unencumbered Oregon Nursing License; BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association. Minimum three (3) - five (5) years experience as an RN in acute care in a hospital setting required. Verifiable by reference: ability to triage and prioritize patient issues using critical thinking skills; excellent written and verbal (incl. face-to-face) communication skills; excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail; ability to work as part of a team; able to work with frequent interruptions; ability to work independently and problem-solve. BSN degree strongly preferred. Previous transplant nursing experience and recent acute care experience preferred. Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator preferred.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Ability to pull and file charts, must be able to stand, bend, stoop, sit at computer, walk, climb stairs, intermittently throughout work shift. Able to stand for up to 8 hours during outreach clinics. Occasional travel to outreach clinics for 2-3 consecutive days.
