Location: Marquam Hill.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> Position is essential to the assembly, delivery, and pick-up of patient trays. The position also works in the dish room. Works in dish room sorting carts, running dishes through machine, unloads dishes and puts them away, cleans designated section of dish room, cleans dirty carts, cleans dish machine, sorts silverware. Prepares desserts and beverages for tray line. Tray assembly: loads trays as checked into carts, runs for missing items, assures that tray is complete before loading, works assembly position putting on assigned items by spreadsheet or menu, keeps carts lined up, delivers nourishments and late trays, notify nursing when arriving on floor using earth bell or announcing tray, delivers par stock to units. Brings back all dirty trays in cart in order delivered, collects dirty trays from unit kitchen as needed.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Requires high school diploma or equivalent, Multnomah County food handler's card within one week of hire. Customer service experience. Must be able to provide outstanding customer service in a fast paced environment. Communicate well in English. Must be able to bend, lift up to 25 pounds, stoop, twist, walk and stand for entire shift. Six (6) months customer service experience in a fast-paced hospital food service environment preferred.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Exposure to refuse from patient trays; exposure to wet areas and noise in the main kitchen, exposure to airborne infectious disease from patients. Continuous moving about work area; lifting; lifting/pushing overhead; lifting and carrying items up to 25 pounds; continuous walking and standing, frequent bending forward, stooping, reaching overhead, and pushing/pulling carts; clear and audible speaking voice and correctable vision to size 12 type; ability to hear normal speech level.
