The salary range for this position is $14.57-19.64/hour. This position is located at Marquam Hill.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> This is a relief positions that will provide quality care to patients consistent with the OSHU Internal Medicine Practice?s philosophy of providing positive health care responsive to the patient?s needs. The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) works as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and provides a positive example of for all. Ensures that the clinic functions smoothly and efficiently while keeping the patient?s well being paramount. The individual represents the providers, other nursing staff, the clinic and OHSU. They will conduct themselves in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner when involved with any activity associated with OSHU.The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) performs delegated clinical and administrative duties within the supervising physician?s scope of practice, consistent with the MA?s education, training, and demonstrated competency. The MA recognizes and addresses age- appropriate needs when caring for patients. In addition, the CMA assists in maintaining the practice environment in a clean, orderly condition.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Completion of an accredited CMA program and High School graduate or equivalent. Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and handle an extremely high volume of interactions. One (1) year medical record and prescription refill coordination experience strongly preferred. One (1) year Geriatric experience strongly preferred. The position is in a very fast paced environment with the need for in depth computer skills and the ability to navigate an electronic health record accurately and efficiently. Ability to communicate clearly with proper grammar and spelling, follow oral and written instructions, and deal with diverse patient/family population and interactions. Ability to recognize and communicate problems promptly. Intermediate typing and computer skills. Must have excellent math skills. Preferred: Three (3) years experience in an ambulatory setting. Proficient in Epic and Cadence.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Must be able to lift 40 lbs of weight or more, stand for long period of time, bend at knee without physical complication, perform moderate physical activity, minimal exposure to physical risks including HIV.
