               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Relief Pharmacy Technician - Relief<BR> <BR>Department Inpatient Pharmacy Services<BR> <BR>Location HRC 9D40<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> This is a relief position (0.03) with variable shifts from Monday - Sunday, and every other weekend; Salary Range: $14.92 - 20.10/hour. Location: Marquam Hill.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> This position provides technical support to Pharmacists and other Technicians through computer order entry of physician?s patient medication and fluid orders. Position facilitates the activities of the licensed pharmacists who are responsible for the safe and proper distribution and use of drugs in inpatients and outpatients who range from neonates, infants; 1 year old, children, and adolescents ages 1-18, adults ages 19-65, and the elderly age 65.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Required: Pharmacy Technician Certification. State of Oregon Pharmacy Technician License including completion of training competencies. High School Diploma. Must possess computer keyboarding skills. Ability to read and understand medical-related terms. Ability to perform basic pharmaceutical mathematics calculations. Skill at manipulating small objects, e.g., needles, syringes, ampules. Ability to use mechanical system for transfer of fluids. Knowledge of and skill at application of aseptic technique. Ability to establish priorities in workflow. Good interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work under supervision of diverse Pharmacists. Preferred: Formal pharmacy technician training program. Inpatient and outpatient hospital pharmacy experience. Medical and scientific nomenclature.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Possible exposure to hazardous chemicals and noise. Flexibility in scheduling of shift times. Accountability for accuracy associated with performance of the duties to this position. Ability to stand/walk, push or pull delivery carts, bending and reaching for 6-8 continuous hours per day.Maintain Pyxis movement and stock to accommodate patient needs.
