Salary range for Research Assistant 2: $28,305 ? $56,814 per year. Salary and title will depend on experience.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> <BR>The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university?s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.<BR>A full time Research Assistant position is available in the Valiyaveetil laboratory in the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology. The Valiyaveetil group investigates the structure and function of membrane proteins using unnatural amino acid mutagenesis, x-ray crystallography and electrophysiology.<BR>Responsibilities for this position include general lab responsibilities such as ordering lab supplies, maintaining lab equipment etc. as well as research involving protein biochemistry and peptide chemistry.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> <BR>Required:<BR>* Bachelor?s degree or; allied health professional or; equivalent prior experience.
