Position duties include (but not limited to):<BR>* Assist postdoctoral researchers with sample collection and processing<BR>* Perform nucleic acid extraction and analysis<BR>* Maintaining laboratory cultures<BR>* Communicate with supervisors, attend lab meetings, attend seminars and lectures<BR>* Maintain laboratory notebooks and other records<BR>* Write up work for publication<BR>* Order laboratory supplies, chemicals, reagents, and equipment<BR>* Arrange for laboratory equipment maintenance and repair<BR>* Train and assist graduate student, interns, volunteers, and other lab personnel as needed<BR>* May include participation in ocean or river research cruises or other field work ranging from 1 to 14 days<BR>* This position may use radioactive materials or work in areas where radioactive materials are in use<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> <BR>Required:<BR>Required:<BR>* Bachelor's of Science Degree in Biological Oceanography, Marine Sciences, Environmental Microbiology, or related field<BR>* Computer skills<BR>* Laboratory skills and techniques as described in key responsibilities<BR>Preferred:<BR>* Master's of Science Degree in Biological Oceanography, Marine Sciences, Environmental Microbiology, or related field<BR>* 1 or more years of laboratory research experience and field work; may include undergraduate research experience<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>How To Apply <BR> <BR> Apply here online.
