               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Research Assistant I/Clinical Research Assistant<BR> <BR>Department Knight Prostate Program<BR> <BR>Location HRC 14D56<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> 1.0 FTE; Occasional nights and weekends; Wage: $12.50-14.42/hour; Location: Center for Health and Healing, South Waterfront<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The primary purpose of this position is to assist Clinical Research Coordinators with various duties related to clinical trials in support of the mission of the Prostate Cancer Clinical Research Group within the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute. Primary duties include obtaining medical records; basic sample processing/shipping; contacting patients for survival information; assisting study coordinators with patient data entry; abstracting basic data from medical records; and assisting in the maintenance of regulatory documents and obtaining signatures. The incumbent will also assist the Clinical Research Manager with other projects and duties as needed.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> <BR>Requirements include:<BR>? A Bachelor?s degree or; allied health professional; or equivilent prior experience.<BR>? Experience working in an office environment.<BR>? Ability to prioritize multiple tasks at one time.<BR>? Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills: both written and verbal.<BR>? Ability to work independently and as part of a team while being collaborative in resolving problems.<BR>? Proficient with computers running Windows and PC applications (e.g. MS Excel, Oracle, Access, Word and PowerPoint).<BR>? Demonstrated excellent customer service skills both on the phone and in person.<BR>? Energy and drive to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.<BR>? Ability to use tact and diplomacy to maintain effective working relationships.<BR>? Ability to handle multiple projects while remaining organized and prioritizing deadlines.<BR>? Ability to speak and communicate clearly, and demonstrate a high level of customer service to other members of the health care team both at OHSU and outside entities.<BR>Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree with coursework in Science; some clinical research knowledge with a minimum of 1 year research experience; familiarity with medical terminology; and a high level of organization, attention to detail, troubleshooting, and prioritizing skills.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Applicants must be willing and able to travel to all Knight work-site locations, including using the tram; tolerate a busy environment where multi-tasking is necessary; handle human specimens; work in an environment with constant interruptions; lift and carry up to 20lbs; tolerate long hours of sitting, standing, or walking, and the heavy use of computers, phones, copiers and fax machines.<BR> <BR>How To Apply <BR> <BR> Apply here online.
