<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Research Associate<BR> <BR>Department Pediatrics - Oregon Pediatric Improvement Partnership<BR> <BR>Location CDRC 3107<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm; travel may occur for conferences and trainings; 1.0 FTE; Salary: $45,000-60,000; Location: Marquam Hill<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> <BR>Position summary updated August 1, 2012:<BR>This position will be responsible for the measurement and evaluation components of OPIP projects focused on improving the quality of health care provided to children and youth. This position is under the supervision of the Executive Director of the Oregon Pediatric Improvement Partnership (OPIP). The project work supports the mission, goals and objectives of the OPIP (www.oregon-pip.org), Department of Pediatrics, School of Medicine and OHSU. This position will include responsibilities in development of measurement and evaluation tools that can be implemented in practice-based or managed care organization settings. The measurement strategies will use quantitiave and qualitative data sources such as claims data, medical charts, office reported tools, surveys (of patient, provider and office staff) and strategic interviews and focus groups. Data will need to be reported in a way that is meaningful and relevant in guiding improvement efforts and/or evaluating improvement efforts and needs to be salient to the targeted stakeholder of focus (e.g. managed care organization, front-line provideres, policy makers). Initial focus will be on quality measurement and evaluation of improvement projects focused on medical home and care coordination for children at risk for developmental, behavioral and social delays.<BR><BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> <BR>Requirements include :<BR>* Master?s degree with major courses in relevant field or Bachelor's degree with major courses in field of research (or RN or allied health professional) plus 4 additional years related experience or a Bachelor's degree plus Current ACRP or SoCRA certification;<BR>* A minimum of 3 years experience as research associate or equivalent with demonstrated experience in health care quality measurement and evaluation<BR>* Successful in the day-to-day execution of measurement and evaluation design and in implementing complex work plans within the context of a multi-disciplinary study team;<BR>* Demonstrated ability to effectively participate in multiple research projects simultaneously and excellent creativity and attention to conceptual clarity, logistical detail and both factual and data analysis accuracy;<BR>* Outstanding knowledge and at least 3 years of experience working with and supervising staff in using a standard statistical software library (e.g. SPSS, SAS, STATA);<BR>* Application of univariate, bivariate and multi-variate analyses as well as overseeing the design, execution and evaluation of qualitative studies using focus groups and cognitive and structured interview techniques;<BR>* Successful in ensuring PI input and approval </font></td>
