<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Research Associate<BR> <BR>Department Pediatrics - Child and Adolescent Health Measurement Initiative (CAHMI)<BR> <BR>Location CDRC 3107<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> .8 - 1.0 FTE; Salary: $37,128-78,438, Location: Marquam Hill<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> <BR>This position is under the supervision of the Director of the Child and Adolescent Health Measurement Initiative (CAHMI). All work will support the mission, goals and objectives of the CAHMI, Department of Pediatrics, School of Medicine and OHSU. This position will be responsible for working with the Director of the CAHMI to develop and manage a portfolio of projects related to the CAHMI?s work in the area of Patient Centered Quality Improvement.<BR>Specifically, the position will focus on<BR>1) working to conceptualize new ideas to develop proposals for funders;<BR>2) developing detailed budgets for new projects (assess costs for personnel, contractors, materials, etc.);<BR>3) managing relationships with vendors and project partners;<BR>4) managing a range of projects related to the development of strategies to support parent, child and provider engagement, including both the implementation of innovative interventions and the research methodologies (quantitative and qualitative) to assess the interventions;<BR>5) facilitating national expert advisory panels through structured input processes; and<BR>6) developing summary documents (reports, toolkits, etc.) to synthesize project learning?s based on quantitative and qualitative data.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> <BR>Requirements include a Master?s degree in public health or health services management, health care policy analysis or related field; a minimum of 3 years? experience as a research associate or equivalent with demonstrated experience in health care survey research; history of success in the day-to-day execution of research protocols and supervision of junior staff and external partners in implementing complex work plans within the context of a multi-disciplinary study team; demonstrated ability to effectively participate in multiple research projects simultaneously; excellent creativity and attention to conceptual clarity, logistical detail and both factual and data analysis accuracy; demonstrated skill in engaging and working with external academic and policy experts as well as consumer advocacy, health care plan and physician practice leaders; sophisticated knowledge of public and private sector health care services organization and financing and related federal and state agencies pertinent to child and adolescent health care and care for adults with chronic illness; outstanding knowledge and at least 5 years of experience working with and supervising staff in using a standard statistical software library (e.g. SPSS, SAS, STATA), application of univariate, bivariate and multi-variate analyses as well as overseeing the design, execution and evaluation of qualitative studies using focus groups and cognitive and structured in </font></td>
