               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Research Associate<BR> <BR>Department Behavioral Neuroscience<BR> <BR>Location VAMC BLDG 101 R418<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> 1.0 FTE; Salary range $37,128 - $78,438<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> <BR>Oregon Health & Science University Departments of Behavioral Neuroscience and Psychiatry are announcing the availability of a Research Associate position focusing on brain imaging efforts intended to obtain structural and functional connectivity measurments on a high field magnet (Bruker BioSpin 11.7 T) in rodent species, and to examine these measurement in component models of ADHD and Autism.<BR>The incumbent will be heavily involved in rodent restraint/habituation, data acquisition, and data analysis for these integrated structural and functional small animal brain imaging studies. Additional duties include routine laboratory duties, and manuscript writing in support of the goals of the study.<BR>The position will also allow for presentation of data at national and international meetings. The position will be for one year; second year will be dependent on further grant funding.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> <BR>Required:<BR>* A Master?s degree, in Neuroscience, Physical Chemistry, biomedical engineering or related technical discipline or a Bachelor?s degree with major courses in a related field plus 4 additional years of related experience<BR>* 3 years related research experience<BR>* Rodent handling experience<BR>* Experience with live rodent MR imaging, preferably on a high field magnet. Sufficient MR knowledge to interface with a variety of database, statistical, and imaging task and processing software, such as Matlab, Linux, SPSS, Systat, Access, AFNI, FSL<BR>* Programming proficiency in languages, software, and platforms, such as MATLAB, C/C++, Linux<BR>Preferred:<BR>* PhD in Neuroscience, Physical Chemistry, biomedical engineering, or related technical discipline<BR>* Rodent restraint and habituation experience<BR>* Experience with Bruker BioSpin 11.7 TExperience with functional or structural brain imaging (i.e. MRI imaging)<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>How To Apply <BR> <BR> Apply here online.
