<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Research Nurse Coordinator<BR> <BR>Department Portland VA Medical Center<BR> <BR>Location Shriners Research<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> Full time; Salary range $54,762 - $83,753 per year<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> Research Service, located within the Portland VA Medical Center, is recruiting for a full-time Nurse Coordinator for a cooperative studies research project. The incumbent will serve as a liaison between the research project, medical center staff and coordinating center. Under the direction of the Participating Investigator (PI), the local Nurse Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the study operations, including the recruitment, screening, enrollment and follow-up of subjects; and communication with the data coordinating center, the study chairman's office, and the research pharmacy. Each center will be expected to enroll at least 1,250 subjects by the end of the 30 month recruitment period. The local Nurse Coordinator will have responsibility for coordinating the screening, intervention and follow-up procedures at the participating medical center, and ensuring compliance with the study protocol.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Applicants must be graduates from a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE); have a current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia (in cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing, possession of current, full, active and unrestricted registration will meet the requirement of graduation from an approved school of professional nursing); must be proficient in spoken and written English and must be a citizen of the United States.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Your salary and grade will be determined by the Nursing Professional Standards Board (NPSB).
