<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Resource Nurse<BR> <BR>Department Trauma & Emergency Surgery<BR> <BR>Location OHS 13A04<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> Trauma & Emergency Surgery, UHS 13A<BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> <BR>.001 FTE / RESOURCE. 12 hour nights, 1900 - 1730, variable.<BR>Resource Nurse positions are required to work at least 352 hours each fiscal year and at least 24 hours per month. Any shift worked at the request of the manager shall count toward meeting the minimum hourly obligation for the month or the year. Shifts worked at the request of the manager are defined as unfilled shifts to which the resource nurse is assigned prior to the posting of the schedule or shift worked at the manager?s request during the posted work cycle. The Resource RN must also work a major holiday each fiscal year provided work is available and the resource nurse is needed.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The RN, working as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, has the primary responsibility for and provides direct and indirect professional nursing care for patients. The RN assesses patient and family needs, develops a plan of care, implements and evaluates the care delivered. The RN is expected to practice in accordance with professional standards, core values, and with a commitment to service excellence. 13A provides care to adolescent through geriatric patients ranging from 16-100+ who, have a variety of diagnoses, which require surgical interventions and recovery for Orthopedic and Trauma related conditions. This population may include, but are to limited to: surgeries for joint repacment, spine surgery fracture repair, injuries related to motor vehicle accidents, gunshot wounds and stab wounds; traumatic amputations; limb reattachments; multisystem trauma; osteomyelitis; and sport related injuries. Other patients may be admitted, as bed space is needed.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Current, unencumbered Oregon Nursing License and BLS certification issued by American Heart Association. Two (2) years recent level 1 Trauma RN experience. Fluency in oral and written English. Verifiable by reference: dependable work history and attendance record, excellent customer service skills, organizational skills. Ability to bend, stoop, lift.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, stand, sit, twist, reach, push and/or pull up to 100 pounds, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, sit at computer intermittently throughout work shift.
