               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Resource Nurse<BR> <BR>Department Interventional Radiology / Angiography<BR> <BR>Location OHS 11A68<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> Interventional Radiology / Angiography<BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> .003 FTE; Monday - Friday, 7:15am - 4:45pm; Resource Nurse positions are required to work at least 352 hours each fiscal year and at least 24 hours per month. The Resource RN must also work a major holiday each fiscal year provided work is available and the resource nurse is needed. This position is located at Marquam Hill.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The Interventional Radiology (IR) Resource Nurse works as a member of the multidisciplinary team, providing direct and indirect nursing care in the Interventional Radiology department for both outpatient and inpatients. The IR nurse will provide skilled nursing care to patients undergoing a large variety of procedures, including sedation services. The IR Resource Nurse will be proficient in providing care to the critically ill patient. This care may include invasive hemodynamic monitoring, care and management of the ventilated patient, management of vaso active drips and care and management of EVD?s. The IR Resource Nurse must be skilled in recognizing complications or change in the patient?s condition, communicating and responding effectively in emergent situations. The IR Resource Nurse will have the ability to adapt and respond quickly, effectively and safely to a fast changing work environment. The IR Resource Nurse has expertise in the application of the nursing process within the Interventional Radiology setting, has the ability to manage stressful situations in a positive manner and embraces the OHSU Core Competencies (Accountability, Collaboration, Communication, Diversity, Integrity, Respect, Service Orientation, Teamwork) into his/her practice. The RN at OHSU is expected to practice in accordance with Oregon and ARNA professional standards. The RN embraces the mission and vision of the Dotter Institute. The RN incorporates the unit?s values into daily work activities. The RN performs requirements as outlined in compliance roles and responsibilities in OHSU Hospitals and Clinics.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Current unencumbered Oregon Nursing license; Requires BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross; Advance Cardiac Life Support certification. Minimum two (2) years ICU experience. Hemodynamic monitoring, titration of vasoactive drips, ventilator management. Must have excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a team and the flexibility to delegate, prioritize and adapt in stressful situations. Preferred: BSN; IR experience; Recent ICU experience, within the last two (2) years; Sedation skills; PALS.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Orientation: 1-2 days relative to experience.
