<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Resource Nurse<BR> <BR>Department Trauma ICU<BR> <BR>Location MAC 5170<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> Trauma ICU<BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> .001 FTE: Resource; Schedule: night shift, 1900 - 0700; Location: Marquam hill. Resource Nurse positions are required to work at least 352 hours each fiscal year and at least 24 hours per month. Any shift worked at the request of the manager shall count toward meeting the minimum hourly obligation for the month or the year. Shifts worked at the request of the manager are defined as unfilled shifts to which the resource nurse is assigned prior to the posting of the schedule or shift worked at the managers request during the posted work cycle. The Resource RN must also work a major holiday each fiscal year provided work is available and the resource nurse is needed.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The Registered Nurse, working as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, has the primary responsibility for and provides direct and indirect professional nursing care for patients. The Registered Nurse assesses patient and family needs, develops a plan of care, implements and evaluates the care delivered. The Registered Nurse is expected to practice in accordance with professional standards, core values, and with a commitment to service excellence.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> REQUIRED: Current unencumbered Oregon Nursing License. Graduation from NLN accredited School of Nursing. Fluency in oral and written English. Requires BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross; TNCC; Current ACLS certification or within 6 months of hire. Two (2) years recent Adult Critical Care experience (within the last 3 years); OR successful completion of OHSUs Critical Care Internship Program; OR Adult ICU Rotation in Nursing School. PREFERRED: Level 1 Trauma and/or Neurosurgical experience; CCRN.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> The Trauma Intensive Care Unit (7A TICU) is a 17-bed unit that is open and staffed 24 hours per day and 7 days per week specializing in the care of critically ill trauma and general surgery overflow patients. There is constant exposure to usual hospital environmental conditions including possible exposure to blood and body fluids for which staff is provided education and protective equipment to minimize risk. Ability to lift, bend, stoop, reach, carry, push, pull and walk throughout the work period. Must be able to use all senses: seeing, hearing, touching, smelling, and speaking. Able to lift 50 lbs.
