               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Resource Nurse<BR> <BR>Department Emergency Department<BR> <BR>Location OHS 8A05<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> Emergency Department, UHS 8th floor<BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> Multiple positions may be filled through this recruitment. 0.001 FTE, Resource Nurse, Variable shifts plus minimim of two weekends a month. Resource Nurse positions are required to work at least 352 hours each fiscal year and at least 24 hours per month. Any shift worked at the request of the manager shall count toward meeting the minimum hourly obligation for the month or the year. Shifts worked at the request of the manager are defined as unfilled shifts to which the resource nurse is assigned prior to the posting of the schedule or shift worked at the manager?s request during the posted work cycle. The Resource RN must also work a major holiday each fiscal year provided work is available and the resource nurse is needed.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The Registered Nurse assumes primary responsibility for, and provides direct and indirect professional nursing care to, patients. The Registered Nurse assesses patients needs, develops the plan of care, implements and evaluates nursing care; provides education and consultation to staff, students, patients and the community. The Registered Nurse identifies patient requirements relative to age-specific needs for infants, toddler, pre-school, school age, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Required: NEW GRADS WELCOME TO APPLY. Successful completion of a national accredited school of nursing program. State of Oregon Registered Nurse License; BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross; Minimum of 300 Immersion hours within the past 12 months and a focus or strong interest in working in the Emergency Department. ACLS & PALS certification; TNCC (or may be obtained within first six months). Strong verbal and written communication skills. Effective interpersonal skills. Ability to work as a collaborative member of the interdisciplinary team. Ability to prioritize and problem solve. Demonstration of critical thinking skills (i.e., recognition of complications and responds with appropriate interventions). Preferred: BSN. TNCC.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Orientation: up to 6 weeks as needed. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand for four continuous hours a day. Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, reach, push, pull, climb stairs, sit at computer, intermittently throughout work shift. Constant exposure to usual hospital environmental conditions.
