Our family of brands now includes Montrail, Mountain Hardwear, Pacific Trail, and Sorel.<BR><BR>Manage the retail planning and analytical functions for key accounts in order to improve sales, profitability and inventory turnover. Primary responsibilities are providing sell-in and sell-through analytical reporting to key stakeholders; reviewing style selling and financial reports; assisting in financial and assortment planning, and monitoring/managing open orders.<BR>* Generate and provide Sell-Through summary reports to supporting Sales Representatives within an agreed upon calendar cadence. <BR>* Generate and provide Sell-In summary reporting, analytics and ad hoc requests to cross functional management teams.<BR>* Provide Product Sales Managers and Sales Representatives constructive analysis with suggestions for improvements during seasonal pre-lines and booking timeframes in order to create sales driving assortments based on sell-through analytics and market trends.<BR>* Work with Product Sales Managers on current and future season forecasting. Identify opportunities and liabilities on product based on history and market trends to maximize production runs and internal gross margins.<BR>* Monitor sales and stock trends; suggest reorders on fast sellers and suggest alternative measures on slow sellers. Communicate open bulk concerns based on sales trend, re-projections and sales ladder plans.<BR>* Work closely with Sales Representatives and accounts’ buying/planning teams to identify top and bottom performing doors in order to ensure proper allocation of goods; collaborate to build regional/market store clusters to improve sales, margins and turnover.<BR>Specific Job Skills:<BR>Possess advanced knowledge of merchandising, buying, product allocation, and retail sales analysis. Advanced knowledge of retail math and pricing strategies with an in depth knowledge of open to buy and the financial planning process at the retail level. Knowledge of the outdoor industry, the department store channel, consumer buying patterns and retail dynamics sufficient to be credible and influential with customers. <BR><BR>Education and/or Experience:<BR><BR>Bachelors degree specializing in finance, business, economics or equivalent and<BR>three to five years of experience in retail buying or retail planning, preferably in a sporting goods or department store environment or similar experience with retail forecasting and sales analysis at the wholesale level.
