When you join a Nordstrom Store, you are welcomed into a family dedicated to creating memorable and rewarding shopping experiences for our customers.<BR><BR>The ideal Logistics Shipping/Receiving candidate is results oriented and committed to providing outstanding customer service every day.<BR><BR>Responsibilities<BR><BR>* Receive and unload freight<BR>* Sort and deliver merchandise to selling departments<BR>* Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process and research cartons in accordance with our inventory control processes<BR>* Prep merchandise for store and customer shipments<BR>* Provide general support to the store, e.g. set up special events, organize backroom and relocate store fixtures<BR>* Demonstrate ownership, accountability and initiative<BR>Qualifications<BR>* Prior shipping and receiving experience preferred<BR>* Computer proficiency and comfortable learning new computer applications<BR>* Inventory management systems experience preferred<BR>* High level of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment<BR>* Ability to interact and communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers and customers<BR>* Strong problem-solving skills<BR>* High level of ownership, accountability and initiative<BR>* Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store needs<BR>Since 1901, Nordstrom has offered a wide variety of quality apparel, shoes and accessories for men, women and children at our stores across the country.
