Location: South Water Front.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> Contracting Services Group is under the Logistics Department of OHSU and is the central processing point for most OHSU contracts outside of managed care and research. This office is responsible for the review, final execution, management and administration of Professional Services Contracts (PSC), Short Term Leasing Contracts, Purchasing Contracts, Affiliation Agreements, Computer/Software Contracts, Sale of Service, and Capital Construction contracts.This SCS will partner with Department (including, but not limited to Information Technology Group) to assist in establishing contracts and to fulfill those departments need for entering into agreements in the best interest of both the Department and OHSU. As part of the procurement process, the SCS will assist assigned area in all of its contracting needs including, but not limited to, performing strategic negotiations, conducting competitive bidding and vendor management. This position must be comfortable in a variety of environments with a proven ability to manage high-stress situations. The individual in this position must be comfortable negotiating complex, high-dollar contracts with software companies, high-tech companies, medical/research equipment companies and other vendors offering goods or services to OHSU. The SCS is a strategic partner to OHSU Departments; administers procurements/contracts from inception through termination, which includes, but is not limited to, providing professional consultation, advice, direction to all levels of OHSU and contractor staff and administrators regarding contracting issues and methods which will best meet legal, risk management and financial requirements for OHSU/contractor business objectives. One of the main roles of this position is to continually seek opportunities to improve the contracting processes as well as improve customer service. The Senior Contract Specialist will also issue and manage Requests for Proposals (RFPs). This position will partner with Departments to assist in negotiating contracts of a high technical nature with the intent to fulfill that department's procurement needs including, but not limited to, Purchasing Agreement, Software and Licensing Agreements, Professional Services. This position requires that the individual have at least four years of contracting experience, preferably with the aforementioned types of agreements.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Required: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
