Location: Portland, downtown.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> Central Financial Services (CFS) is the division within Oregon Health and Science University charged with the overall responsibility of accurately processing, reporting and interpreting the University's financial transactions. Departments within CFS include Budgeting, Accounts Payable, Finance and Accounting, Payroll, Capital Accounting and Treasury. <BR><BR><BR><BR>This position will gather and analyze information which they will use to maintain and update the long-term planning application (5YP) throughout the year. The 5YP is then used as the basis for development of the annual University Operating targets. This position will also work collaboratively with team members and departments in developing and inputting the budgets into the University budgeting system. Additional responsibilities will include performing monthly variance analysis, with the expectation reports are to be detailed and accurate, with a professional presentation that can then be distributed to upper management. This position will also present findings, analysis, and recommendations to a variety of groups and individuals. Strong financial modeling and analysis experience will be required.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Required: Bachelor's degree and 18 hours of accounting courses from an accredited college or university, plus two years of financial analysis experience; or equivalent combination of experience. At least two years experience in financial/budget/payroll analysis. ?In depth knowledge of financial planning, accounting, and budgeting.?Skilled in creating financial models and forecasting.?Ability to think critically and strategically. Analyze data at a high level and in detail, recognizing trends and identifying potential areas needing further review.?Must have excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail.?Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).?Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Visio). ?Must possess energy, drive and capability of handling multiple priorities simultaneously with a strong attention to detail while providing a high level of customer service.
