Evaluates software packages and provides recommendations to management and business clients. Identifies future needs for key technologies and/or techniques and evaluates these technologies for adoption.<BR><BR>Responsibilities for this position include:<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><BR>* Act as the technical lead for highly complex projects related to the development of new systems, architecture, applications or technology capabilities in support of business goals.<BR>* Oversee development and ensure conformance to performance optimization and interoperability standards and requirements.<BR>* Act as the subject matter expert and consult with clients and IT in support of the company?s IT strategy, overarching business requirements. <BR>* Collaborates with IT teams to identify technical deficits and improvement opportunities in current practices and procedures.<BR>* Helps create the team technology blueprint that meshes the larger PacifiCorp vision to the specific team''s portfolio and skills.<BR>* Coaches other team members both in specific technical matters as well as development process and/or project management techniques.<BR>* Applies industry standard techniques as appropriate such as automated unit testing, test-driven development, continuous integration and iterative development for example.<BR>* Applies industry standard techniques as appropriate such as automated unit testing, test-driven development, continuous integration and iterative development.<BR>Requirements for this position include the following:<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><BR>* Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems or a related field; or the equivalent combination education and experience.<BR>* A minimum of five years experience in business software application design, development, and/or installation.<BR>* A minimum of five years experience in an IEF Cool:Gen mainframe environment that includes model management, software promotions; business application design, development, installation, and/or modification utilizing IEF Cool:Gen tool set in Block Mode in a ZOS, CICS, DB2 environment for both batch and on-line processing.<BR>* A minimum of five years experience with SPUFI / PLATINUM for DB2, CICS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, Endevor, Easytreive, Control M, performance tuning, debugging and troubleshooting.<BR>* Extensive experience in performance tuning of DB2 database, troubleshooting, debugging, and installation of vendor software packages.<BR>* Significant experience working with Customer Service, Billing and Collection Systems preferably in the Utility Industry in the areas of batch and online Transaction Processing System.<BR>* Significant experience imp                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  </font></td>
