We provide career opportunities as unique as you are.<BR>Responsibilities:<BR><BR>A Senior Substation Design Engineer is responsible for providing engineering services and the preparation of the detailed design package associated with the construction of high-voltage and extra-high-voltage utility substations. The successful applicant will have substantial experience in substation physical design, including switch and bus, medium and high-voltage circuit breaker, and power transformers. A Senior Substation Design Engineer will<BR>develop equipment specifications and bills of material based upon a single line diagram and conceptual layout drawing, providing input to the Engineering Manager regarding scope, schedule, and budget. Be instrumental in the development and maintenance of design standards, design basis, construction specification, and other fundamental design guidelines. A Senior Substation Design Engineer will be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of industry design standards and applicable codes for the design of high-voltage facilities, including IEEE, ANSI, NEMA, NESC, IEC standards. Will be skilled in performing calculations, configuration,<BR>and arrangement of high-voltage equipment. Must have demonstrated experience in leading an engineering design team on production of detailed design deliverables; drawings, calculations, arrangements, and BOM. The successful applicant will also be a resourceful team player, being able to mentor junior staff<BR>members, and able to resolve conflicts, while maintaining a commitment to quality.<BR>Qualifications:<BR><BR>* Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering. Master degree will also be considered<BR>* Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation in US jurisdictions<BR>* Minimum of 10 years experience in the design of substations<BR>* Experience working with design software AutoCAD, and/or Microstation<BR>* Demonstrated ability to control and mange cost and schedule<BR>* Strong written and communication skills<BR>ASSETS but not required:<BR>* Experience with Substation Protection and Control design<BR>* Periodic onsite construction support experience<BR>* Project management experience<BR>* Experience with project scheduling software<BR>* Transmission Conductor selection and optimization<BR>* Fiber </font></td>
