<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Title: Service Equipment Specialist<BR>Location: Oregon-Portland<BR>Job Number:_10974<BR>Providence is calling an on-call Service Equipment Specialist for a rotating/variable shift position at Providence Home Services Building in Portland, OR. <BR><BR>In this position, you will:<BR><BR>* Instruct, educate, and deliver home medical equipment to patients.<BR>* Educate and instruct each patient, family member or caregiver on the correct use and function of each piece of equipment delivered and completes all associated and required documentation.<BR>* Perform home environmental safety inspections to include safe access into the home, throw rugs, and use of equipment in a multi-level home, smoke detectors, and working electrical outlets.<BR>* Review the disaster preparedness instruction pamphlet and patient rights and responsibilities with the patient/caregiver.<BR>* Perform customer service functions and facilitates minor equipment repairs.<BR>* Follow The Joint Commission, Oregon State Health Administration, and Oregon Department of Transportation and Washington Department of Transportation regulatory guidelines.<BR>* Be responsible for communicating and coordinating service with patients, physicians, nurses, and referral sources. Providence Home Services - Home Medical Equipment provides a variety of oxygen systems, home medical equipment, respiratory equipment, and soft goods for patients who do not require hospitalization but need medical equipment to recuperate and function in a home setting.<BR><BR><BR>Qualifications:<BR><BR>Required qualifications for this position include:<BR>* High School Graduate or GED.<BR>* Federal Motor Carrier Medical Examiners Interstate Certificate.<BR>* Class C Oregon or Washington Commercial Drivers Permit.<BR>* Must obtain a Class C Oregon or Washington Commercial License with Hazardous Materials and Air Brake endorsements within 60 days of hire start date.<BR>* No more than one moving violation or one chargeable accident within the last three years.<BR>* In compliance with Providence Health & Services-OR Human Resources policy # 302 "Background Checks" a criminal background check is required for this position prior to hire.<BR><BR>Preferred qualifications for this position include:<BR><BR>* Prefer 2 years mechanical experience with home medical equipment.<BR>* Prefer 2 years experience in the home medical equipment industry.<BR>* Prefer 2 years experience in a customer service.<BR>About Providence in Oregon<BR><BR>As the largest health care system and largest private employer in Oregon, Providence offers exceptional work environments and unparalleled career opportunities.<BR><BR>The Providence Experience begins each time our patients or their families have an encounter with a Providence team member and continues throughout their visit or stay.
