EMPLOYEE RELATIONS MGR<BR>Location: OR-Portland<BR>Other Locations: OR-Beaverton<BR>Job Number:_00082713<BR>As the Sr. Employee Relations Manager, you'll provide counsel to business managers, employees and other HR professionals on complex performance management, policy and medical/sickness leave matters. You'll also conduct fact findings into allegations of complex policy violations, and through a consultative methodology communicate in a manner that builds capability and confidence. As part of the Employee Relations leadership you'll develop departmental plans including initiatives and implement organizational priorities that align with the global Employee Relations COE strategy, drive ER strategy across the geography and businesses for which you are responsible, and manage team of two ER Managers. Participate in activities such as work planning process and business capability development, and resource optimization. Train and mentor staff: employee goal setting, coaching, hiring decisions, and performance monitoring. This position supports the wholesale Nike business and the Affiliates throughout the Americas.<BR><BR>Qualifications:<BR><BR>Requirements for the position include: <BR>* Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, Psychology, Sociology, Industrial Relations or a related field <BR>* 6 years' varied/progressive HR or related business experience, including 2 years' significant employee relations experience and experience in performance/compensation management, employee relations, training and development, leadership and competency development, and benefits <BR>* 8 years' experience in lieu of a degree <BR>* Advanced knowledge of US employment laws <BR>* Strong negotiation and influencing skills with proven success in influencing employees at all levels of the organization in a consultative methodology <BR>* Ability to be confidential with sensitive information <BR>* Interpersonal and organizational consulting, delivery and facilitation skills <BR>* Ability to remain professional in high stress situations<BR>* Solid judgment and sound decision making<BR>* Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple matters and projects at a time<BR>* Ability to develop and facilitate interventions that reflect systemic thinking <BR>* Strong Word, PowerPoint skills, Excel skills are a plus <BR>* PHR preferred<BR><BR>Job: Human Resources </font></td>
