<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Title: Sr. Knit Specialist<BR>Location: OR-Portland<BR>Job Number:_00065455<BR>As a Sr. Knitwear Technologist, you will set the tone for this functional department (Knit Technology) within Nike's broader Knit Program. You will be lead our efforts in creating the next generation of knitting equipment for advancing this technology. You will collaborate closely with across a broad group of Advanced Engineering, Manufacturing and Product teams to create, and implement a technology roadmap for creating the worlds leading performance knitwear products across a broad range of consumer needs. <BR><BR>You'll be required to help the team evaluate various existing and emerging technologies to meet the performance needs of products. You'll act as a key member of the team, helping to develop new products and materials. You'll lead our efforts both in hardware and software development. In addition, you'll also be called upon to support the transition of these new technologies into a manufacturing setting, ensuring their commercial viability.<BR><BR>As our technologist lead, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:<BR>* Effectively manage and train our Technology R&D Team<BR>* Defining and implementing next generation technologies for efficiency and performance<BR>* Defining and developing advanced software tools<BR>* Working with external resources (Materials vendors, machine vendors, etc.) during design, development, and commercialization of knitwear technologies<BR>* Effectively managing and maintaining R&D equipment needed to achieve program goals<BR>* Supporting our Manufacturing partners in the start-up of future technologies<BR><BR>Qualifications:<BR><BR>Requirements for the position include:<BR>* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or related field<BR>* Additional 2 years' related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree<BR>* Minimum 10 years' experience in design, operation and programming of flat knitting machines<BR>* Any additional experience in industrial programming related to knitting, weaving and/or other textile related fields, is a plus<BR>* Experience developing knitted fabrics on a Flat Knitting machine<BR>* Experience in pattern design and shape implementation for technical knitting applications<BR>* Experience in programming of the Stoll CMS, or Shima Seiki range of machines is a plus<BR>* Must be trained on the computerized programming of system for Flat Knitting machines<BR>* Must understand fully fashioned knitting<BR>* Understanding of the grading process of a full fashioned program<BR><BR>Job: Product Development & Engineering </font></td>
