               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Staff Registered Nurse<BR> <BR>Department Casey Eye Institute OR<BR> <BR>Location CEI 6103A<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> Casey Eye Institute, 6th floor<BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> Part-time 0.625 FTE; Schedule: Hours vary: 07-1730 or 09-1930, variable days, 50 hours per pay period (bi-monthly) plus call obligation; Location: Marquam Hill campus.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The Perioperative RN works as a member of an interdisciplinary team providing direct and indirect professional nursing care in the Circulating or Scrub roles. The RN has expertise in the application of the nursing process within the Perioperative setting, has the ability to manage stressful/unusual situations in a positive manner, and embraces the OHSU Core Competencies (Accountability, Collaboration, Communication, Diversity, Integrity, Respect, Service Orientation, Teamwork) into his/her practice. The RN must practice within Oregon law and adhere to AORN standards and recommended practices, ANA Scope and Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics for Nurses.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Required: Associates degree in Nursing; Current Oregon RN License and current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association. One (1) year of current inpatient perioperative surgical nursing experience. Must be able to circulate within a variety of surgical specialties. Completion of an Operating Room Nursing program (internship program or like course). Must have excellent communication and listening skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a team, and the flexibility to delegate, prioritize, and adapt in stressful situations. Ability to multi-task and prioritize; Ability to work as a team member in an interdisciplinary setting. Demonstrate effective communication in both verbal, written, and electronic media. Computer/word processing skills. BSN preferred. At least two (2) years of experience in surgical setting which includes the specialty of Ophthalmology preferred.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Requires prioritization of multiple projects, activities, and assignments. May be exposed to excessive auditory and visual stimulaiton. May be exposed to body fluids, tissue, and infectious processes. Subject to computer work for several hours, as needed.
