The salary range for this position is $14.21 - $19.16/hour. This position is located at Marquam Hill.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The Sterile Processing Technician II performs routine maintenance and preparation of instruments, supplies and equipment requiring decontamination and sterilization in a medical facility, as well as all duties performed by the Sterile Processing Technician I. This is the second level of a three-level series. It is distinguished from the lower level by increased responsibility for the sterilization, assembly, and testing of medical equipment, supplies and instruments. It is distinguished from the higher level by closer supervision and less complex procedures.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Required: One (1) to two (2) years experience as a Sterile Processing Technician I that has completed the following (OHSU SPD employees only) - with manager discretion based on skill-set & job performance: a) Successful completion of an accredited Sterile Processing training program will allow one (1) year of a Tech I status experience toward Tech II status; b) six (6) months training at OHSU w/ preceptor on all job requirements assigned to Tech II classification; c) If no qualified candidates apply. At a minimum the following requirements must be met: Communicate clearly and appropriately. Ability to operate computers and job related equipment. Good Interpersonal and communications skills.Stand for long periods of time. Repedetitvely Push/Pull/Lift 50+ lbs. National Certification for Sterile Processing Technicians is required when the employees meets their 1st year anniversary. Employee is to sit for the next scheduled CBSPD test. The employee may substitute the CRCST from IAHCSMM certification in lieu of the CBSPD certification. If there is a no pass of the CBSPD the first time, the employee has until the end of that month to pass the CRCST certification from IAHCSMM. If unable to pass the CRCST by the end of that same month the employee is considered on unauthorized administrative leave and considered to be voluntarily resigned from position. Preferred: Mt. Hood Community College Sterile Processing class. A minimum of two (2) years experience as a Sterile Processing Technician in an acute care center with primary responsibility for instrumenation processing and sterilization. CBSPD or IAHCSMM.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Communicate clearly and appropriately. Ability to operate computers and job related equipment. Good Interpersonal and communications skills.
