               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Title: Supervisor, Accounts Receivable Hospital Billing - Portland, Oregon<BR>Location: Oregon-Portland<BR>Job Number:_18340<BR>Providence is calling an Accounts Receivable Supervisor to Providence Health & Services in Portland, OR.<BR><BR>This position is accountable for to oversee day-to-day operational activities, accurately assess the workload and deploy available team resources optimally, maintain compliance and quality standards and ensure timely billing and collection of receivables to avoid loss of revenue.<BR><BR>In this position you will:<BR>* Perform account audits to ensure proper application of payments and adjustments and that appropriate action steps are taken in addressing resolution of balance.<BR>* Ensure accurate review and processing of complex medical claims and requests for reconsideration within time service standards.<BR>* Monitor staff productivity by ongoing statistical evaluation, reviewing directly with staff and responding to areas of needed improvement.<BR>* Regularly communicate department?s status to the Manager comprehensively outlining problematic workload/workflow issues and solutions being implemented.<BR>* Lead initial and ongoing training of team members, provide punctual performance evaluations for the staff, and review requests for paid time off.<BR>* Assist and/or provide feedback to clinic leadership to ensure a smooth interface between clinic and Business Office staff.<BR>* Collaborate with Denials Management and Contracting departments to identify opportunities to reduce denials.<BR><BR>Qualifications:<BR><BR>Required qualifications for this position include:<BR>* Associates Degree or Baccalaureate Degree in Accounting or Business preferred; or four (4) years experience in lieu of degree<BR>* Minimum of five years medical account collection experience<BR>* Knowledge of all types of insurance plans (i.e. managed care, contracted, fee for service, governmental plans, third party liability and coordination of benefits.)<BR><BR>About the department you will serve.<BR>Providence Strategic and Management Services provides a variety of functional and system support services for all eight regions of Providence Health & Services from Alaska to California.
