               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Supervisor, Professional Services Coding<BR> <BR>Department Professional Services Coding<BR> <BR>Location SJH 1235<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> Monday - Friday, 8:00 am ? 5:00 pm; 1.0 FTE; Salary Range: $48,756-73,032 annually; Location: Marquam Hill.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> This position is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the Enterprise Coding Specialists. Act in a Supervisory capacity, to all enterprise coding specialists. Promote and facilitate OHSU's plan to centralize coding withing Health Information Services (HIS) department. Become proficient in all aspects of the computerized systems utilized in the coding area & educate all employees in that area of existing software & all enhancements. Review a sample of both professional and facility coded records and ascertain any changes in policy or practice. Other projects as assigned.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Associates's degree in a healthcare field AND two (2) years advanced professional and technical coding experience (ICD-9-CM, HCPCS, CMS E/M & CPT-4 coding), two (2) years supervisory experience in a healthcare setting, and hands-on experience in complex technology environments AND Certified Professional Coder through AAPC. A Bachelor's degree is preferred. Must have thorough knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, medical science; working knowledge of Prospective Payment System and Diagnostic Related Groups; Ability to analyze and evaluate medical records for coding purposes & make appropriate decisions.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Able to sit for prolonged periods of time w/little physical activity.
