               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Supervisor, Specialty Labs<BR> <BR>Department Special Immunology and Coagulation<BR> <BR>Location DH 6024<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position working Monday-Friday, 7:00AM - 6:00PM, expected to work some weekends and on-call. The salary range for this position is $63,600 - $95,400 annually. This position is located on Marquam hill.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The purpose of this position is to provide supervisory leadership, direction and technical coordination for clinical operations of the lab sections of Hemostasis and Thrombosis, Allergy, and other related platforms in the laboratory to support the mission and objectives of OHSU Hospitals and Clinics. The incumbent works cooperatively with the Manager and Administrative Director to oversee the physical and human resource assets of the department in accordance with departmental, hospital, and corporate policies. The incumbent is responsible to maintain all laboratory operations at high standards consistent with all quality policies and to meet all accreditation requirements, and create an environment of continous improvement.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Required: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology which includes at least one (1) year of clinical lab experience, and certification as MT(ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) within 90 days of hire. Depending on date of training, different continuing education requirements will apply. OR Completion of a two (2) year accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program, plus MLT (ASCP) or equivalent certification, and four (4) years of experience in a clinical laboratory; certification as MT(ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) or by AMT preferred. Depending on date of training, different, continuing education requirements will apply. OR a Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological field, and four (4) years experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician 2 in a clinical laboratory performing testing and related tasks, and certification as MT(ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) or by AMT preferred. Depending on date of training, different continuing education requirements will apply. Note, experience in a specialty lab area will only qualify candidate to work in that specialty area. MLS (ASCP) or MLT (ASCP) or equivalent. ***MUST DEMONSTRATE 3 years supervisory/lead experience in hospital laboratory services.*** General knowledge of laboratory terminology, equipment, materials and techniques, regulations and safety.?Skill in handling of laboratory specimens, record keeping and laboratory equipment.?Skill in identifying cells and cell morphology.?Skill in using several different computer systems, including: word processing, dedicated LIS/HIS, etc.?Ability to follow written and oral instructions accurately, and operate and maintain standard laboratory equipment.?Ability to work independently within established guidelines, and apply problem-solving skills.?Ability to demonstrate performance of job duties to trainees.?Demonstrate persona                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    </font></td>
