               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Title: Surgery Scheduler - Neurosergery<BR>Location: Clackamas, OR<BR>The Medical Office Surgery Scheduling Specialist provides support for the service through independent scheduling of surgical procedures at Kaiser Permanente Hospitals and Clinics as well as Affiliated Hospitals and Medical Offices as indicated, and tracks data relative to the utilization of the Operating Room and clinic time in relation to Inpatient and Outpatient surgery. This information is utilized by department administration. The Medical Office Surgery Scheduling Specialist acts as a liaison for physicians, clinic staff, operating room staff and procedure room staff regarding policies, procedures and actual schedule information.<BR>Essential Functions:<BR>- Work closely with physician and staff to formulate and coordinate the physician operating room schedule.<BR>- Work with Regional Surgical Services Surgery Scheduler to organize the schedule to assure adequate block time utilization and clinic time utilization.<BR>- Coordinate appropriate specialized surgical equipment and supplies as needed.<BR>- Enters all required orders for pre-op and post-op assessments, tests, meds and other requirements as directed by the providers.<BR>- Schedule emergent or urgent surgeries as necessary.<BR>- Coordinates with the hospital operating room staff or the ambulatory surgery centers to obtain operating room time.<BR>- Notify medical staff and other personnel of schedule changes.<BR>- Answer, greet, problem-solve and direct incoming calls.<BR>- Record messages and distribute to relevant staff members.<BR>- Relay information by phone, pager, overhead paging, or recognized method of staff messaging.<BR>- Supports patient flow in the clinic and performs other duties assigned.<BR>Qualifications:<BR>Basic Qualifications:<BR>- Windows and Microsoft Office work experience.<BR>- Experience with an operating room scheduling system preferred.<BR>- A minimum of two (2) years of experiencein an ambulatory surgical setting or in an acute care setting preferred.<BR>- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.<BR>- Medical Assistant training preferred.<BR>- Medical Terminology.<BR>- Typing 40 wpm.<BR>- Demonstrated, excellent interpersonal skills in written and oral communication.<BR>- Detail oriented.<BR>- Self motivated with the ability to work with minimal direction.<BR>- Basic knowledge of office equipment and basic knowledge of computer systems.<BR>- Keyboard skills.<BR>- Ability to exercise good judgment, prioritize and organize work.<BR>- Ability to problem solve.<BR>- Ability to use office equipment - fax machine, photocopy machine, collate copies.<BR>- Ability to track several critical tasks simultaneously.<BR>- Positive attitude.<BR>- Basic knowledge of specific scheduling medical office procedures for each surgical specialty preferred.<BR>- Multiple line telephone knowledge preferred.<BR>- Computer literate with the following automated systems; KARE, OA, MS, WINDOWS, EPICARE RESULTS REPORTING preferred.<BR><BR>Salary Range:<BR>$18.96 - $22.77                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               </font></td>
