To plan, schedule, supervise and perform a wide variety of procedures, processes or inspections and experiments to test processes and determine material and physical properties of ceramics, waxes, metals, alloys and/or parts. Applies in-depth knowledge in major field to complex problems and new technologies.? To plan and execute major projects from general guidelines. To act as project leader and coordinate the experimental work.? Will be required to work with hazardous materials.<BR>PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:<BR>1. Provide solutions to complex problems in major technical/production field by applying a wide variety of existing techniques, processes and procedures as well as developing new techniques.? Has responsibility for solutions requiring in-depth knowledge, research, innovation and management of multi-faceted systems.<BR>2. Review customer requirements and assess cost, lead time, and compliance capability.<BR>3. Plan, schedule, complete and evaluate large projects. Create and/or track to project milestone plan. Create and implement manufacturing instructions and routings.<BR>4. Gather, record, analyze and summarize data in various formats; prepares technical reports of results; evaluates projects goals and processes.<BR>5. Provide technical expertise, project supervision and leadership to team members and manufacturing; provides technical expertise to and acts as liaison with other department personnel, engineers, manufacturing personnel, customers and vendors.<BR>6. Other duties as assigned.<BR>Required Experience<BR><BR>QUALIFICATIONS:<BR>1. 6 - 7 years prior relevant experienceorA.S or A.A. degree and 5 - 7 years of specific relevant technical experienceorB.S. degree with 2 - 3 years of specific relevant experienceorequivalent training and experience.<BR>?<BR>2. Considerable knowledge of and familiarity with scientific principles and laboratory techniques, and specialized, in-depth knowledge in major field; basic knowledge of related fields.<BR>3. Effective written and verbal communication skills.<BR>4. Ability to apply and adapt a wide variety of technical procedures under general directions and to complete work independently.<BR>5. Experience developing new techniques in major field.<BR>6. Ability to plan, schedule, evaluate and coordinate a variety of major projects.<BR>7. Knowledge of the investment casting process, NDTE, quality, and material testing equipment and processes (preferred).<BR>8. Capable of completing hazardous waste management training.<BR>9. Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point, Solid Works, Mini Tab, Process Control, and Labor Accounting data bases ?(preferred).<BR>10. Ability to perform calculations to formulate, batch, and analyze slurry and shell recipes.
