Working here, you&#39;ll meet others like you; bold men and women working to eradicate all that is plain and boring with world; challenging themselves in an environment where innovation, quality and something known as &quot;happy&quot; is a daily occurrence; people who share a common belief that, while getting there is half the fun, the other half is discovering you belong there.<BR><BR>General Position Summary:<BR>As the Teradata Lead DBA you will assist in the architectural design, development, optimization and support of the enterprise data warehouse infrastructure. <BR><BR>This position will be focused on the Teradata data warehouse environment, and will act as a primary contact for both the Data Management and Business Intelligence teams. <BR><BR><BR>Essential Functions/Responsibilities:<BR>&middot;    Administration of Teradata database environment<BR>&middot;    Provide DBA support to team for development and production deployment efforts<BR>&middot;    Monitor database performance, system utilization, configuration, growth/capacity planning<BR>&middot;    Administration, maintenance and implementation of controls and security polices, access permissions<BR>&middot;    Assist in design and implementation of physical and logical iterations of database instances<BR>&middot;    Maintain database documentation (data definitions, standards, metadata definitions)<BR>&middot;    Ensure that mission critical databases and devices are available and operating with minimal downtime<BR>&middot;    Design, implement and maintain a comprehensive backup and disaster recovery plan that encompasses data warehousing best practices and design guidelines<BR>&middot;    Evaluate, install and test new software releases, patches and system upgrades<BR>&middot;    Manage communication with Teradata on debugging efforts and trouble tickets<BR>&middot;    Must have a working knowledge designing, developing and manipulating databases, data warehouses and multidimensional databases<BR>&middot;    Mentor and train other project staff <BR><BR>Education:<BR>* Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Computer Science or related field or 7+ years related experience<BR>* Teradata certification may be substituted for years of Teradata experience<BR>Experience:<BR>* 7+ years IT/MIS experience and at least 5 years experience of data warehouse design and implementation<BR>* 5+ years as a Teradata administrator<BR>* Experience with Teradata data loading utilities<BR>* Familiarity with EDW data modeling practices/tools (3NF/Erwin)<BR>* Proficiency in scripting tools helpful (Shell/Perl etc.)<BR>* Experience with Data Warehouse lifecycles and methodologies<BR>* Experience in managing large database instances (10 + TB)<BR>* Familiarity with Informatica/IBM Cognos applications a plus<BR>* Ability to gather sys                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             </font></td>
