               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Title: Transportation Senior Supervisor<BR>Location: Oregon-Portland<BR>Other Locations:<BR>PURPOSE:<BR>Plans and supervises the Transportation department?s day to day operations.<BR><BR>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<BR>? Collaborate with Transportation management team to achieve priority objectives in a full-line food Distribution Center<BR>? Manage Supervisors, Dispatchers, Mechanics and Drivers<BR>? Participate in the Hiring Process and Retention Programs<BR>? Develop and Execute Training Programs<BR>? Fulfill Retail Store Service Requirements<BR>? Deliver Department Budget Commitments and achieve key metrics<BR>? Maximize Utilization of Equipment and Personnel<BR>? Maximize Utilization of Systems and Technology<BR>? Develop Inbound and Outbound Routes<BR>? Develop Store Delivery and Driver Run Schedules<BR>? Reduce Out of Route and Empty Return Miles<BR>? Manage Driver Relations in a union environment<BR>? Manage all aspects of Safety<BR>? Track equipment movement in order to schedule daily repairs and maintenance<BR>? Monitor fleet status, through analysis of equipment repairs, tires, reefer hours, and general fleet condition<BR>? Develop and maintain good working relationship with vendors of supplies and parts<BR>? Ensure Regulatory Compliance<BR>? Demonstrate understanding of Payroll and Backhaul duties<BR>? Work on Special Projects and Initiatives assigned by Department Manager<BR><BR>JOB REQUIREMENTS:<BR>? Associate?s or Bachelor?s degree in Supply Chain Logistics Management or related field and/or equivalent work experience in Transportation, preferably with the Company or the Food Logistics Industry.<BR>? Supervisory or dispatch experience in Fleet Operations required. Must possess thorough knowledge of traffic management to include over-the-road transportation.<BR>? Regulatory Compliance Experience. Must have a good working knowledge of all government regulations pertaining to transportation.<BR>? Transportation Technology and Systems experience required. Requires good computer skill with Microsoft Office applications specifically MS Access and Excel as well as logistics based database programs. Knowledge of Qualcomm, TMW, Fleet Advisor and computerized maintenance programs preferred.<BR>? Requires the analytical ability to handle administrative duties and mental alertness to ensure accurate, safe, and thorough completion of work activities. Possess ability to follow through on commitments while dealing with frequent interruptions.<BR>? Possess good communication skills, both verbal and written. Deal effectively with a wide variety of people both in person and over the telephone.<BR><BR>PREFERRED FOUNDATIONAL EXPERIENCES:<BR>? Previous extensive experience and/or formal training or education in transportation and heavy duty diesels, preferably with the Company or in the Food Logistics industry. EPA certified in refrigerant recovery, preferred.<BR>? Possess good leadership skills and the ability to supervise the work of others. Ability to motivate and work with and through others to achieve desired results.<BR>?
