<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Tumor Registrar<BR> <BR>Department Tumor Registry<BR> <BR>Location SJH 1332B<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> 1.0 FTE; Salary Range: $19.26 - $26.07/hour; Location: Downtown Portland, 5th & Clay.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The Tumor Registrar is responsible for case finding, registering, abstracting, staging & performing patient follow-up functions on all patients seen at OHSU for the diagnosis and/or treatment of cancer. The Tumor Registrar is also responsible for other cancer program-related activities such as data requests, quality control & support to the Cancer Committee.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Required: High school diploma and two (2) years experience as hospital cancer registrar. Current credential of CTR (Certified Tumor Registrar) or CTR-eligible. Related knoweldge in anatomy & physiology, medical terminology and cancer types including classification by morphology code, cancer staging schemes, computer data system, ACoS registry requirements. Preferred: Knowledge of Oncolog computer database system. RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator) or RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician).<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Abstracting must be maintained at 4-6 months time frame from date of first contact. Complete average of 5 abstracts per day. Maintain patient follow-up in accordance to CoC standards 3.4 & 3.5. Complete patient outcome & quality improvement studies as well as annual report each year as determined by the Cancer Committee.
