<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">West Campus Research Safety Manager<BR> <BR>Department OHSU Research Integrity Office<BR> <BR>Location MAC 2160<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> 1.0 FTE; Salary range $71,400 - $107,100 per year.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> <BR>Please note that this position is located in Beaverton, OR.<BR>The Research Safety Manager (RSM) will administer all components of the Environmental Health and Safety program that directly impact basic science research laboratories on the West Campus.<BR>RSM duties include, but are not limited to, all of the following key responsibilities:<BR>* Attend Safety Committee, Instutional Biosafety Committee and Instutional Animal Care and Use Committee meetings and provide safety consultation.<BR>* Serve as OHSU Responsible Official for the CDC Select Agent Program at West Campus, and delegate responsibilities to the Alternate Responsible Official(s).<BR>* Attend meetings regarding chemical, biological or radiological safety, and/or environmental health issues in basic science research.<BR>* Direct and supervise EH&RS personnel involved in providing safety services to the OHSU basic science research community on the West Campus.<BR>* Serve as West Campus Biological Safety Officer.<BR>* Evaluate and provide training in methods of reducing/eliminating risk resulting from chemical, biological and radiation exposures.<BR>* Represent EHRS and/or OHSU at internal and external meetings or during inspections conducted by regulatory agencies.<BR>* Develop and maintain written policies and procedures as required by regulatory agencies or OHSU internal operating needs.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> <BR>Required:<BR>* MS in biomedical sciences field.<BR>* Five years biomedical research experience and two years environmental health and safety experience.<BR>* A strong background in local, state, and federal environmental health and safety regulations.<BR>Preferred:<BR>* PhD in biomedical sciences field.<BR>* More than five years biomedical research experience and more than three years environmental health and safety experience in an academic research setting.<BR>* Prior management experience highly preferred.<BR>* Thorough knowledge of NIH, USDA, and CDC regulations.<BR>* RBP, CBSP, or CSP certified.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>How To Apply <BR> <BR> Apply here online.
