Candidates will get the opportunity to ensure high quality operations of all aspects of computer operation, including computer hardware and peripheral device operation, BIOS configuration and execution, operating system execution and configuration, driver execution for peripheral devices, and application execution. Candidates will also participate in specification of future devices and improvements to ensure quality is maintained.<BR><BR>This position is located in Pullman, Washington.<BR><BR>SEL is located in Eastern Washington where you''ll enjoy an unmatched quality of life. Enjoy the smaller town life: country space, freedom from traffic, easy access to recreational activities in nearby mountains, rivers, and forests, as well as great schools and universities.Associate Software Test Engineer - PC EmphasisResponsibilities:<BR>* Develop, maintain, and execute formal tests (both automated and manual) and test strategies for new and existing products that meet corporate objectives.<BR>* Automate existing manual tests to provide better reliability, higher quality testing, and more efficient test execution.<BR>* Work closely with engineering staff during product development to coordinate development effort in order to ensure efficient execution of tests.<BR>* Maintain familiarity with the test tools market, evaluating tools that may be of use to SEL.<BR>* Participate in the review of software requirements and design to ensure testability.<BR>* Determine Design-for-Test (DFT) requirements and coordinate with engineering staff on product design to provide support for standard test methods and common tools and scripts.<BR>* Gather and analyze test data to improve test coverage and efficiencies.<BR>* Maintain, review, and report on historical test and quality data to aid engineering staff in developing higher quality products.<BR>* Act as a test lead on some projects ensuring that all project testing deliverables meet quality, cost, schedule and performance objectives.<BR>* Adhere to, and be a good role model of, the stated SEL values.Qualifications:<BR>* BSEE, BSCS, BSCE or equivalent work experience<BR>* 2 years experience designing and developing production tests<BR>* Experience with administering and configuring Windows and Linux operating systems<BR>* Experience troubleshooting commo </font></td>
