Enjoy the smaller town life: country space, freedom from traffic, easy access to recreational activities in nearby mountains, rivers, and forests, as well as great schools and universities.Automation Engineer - ManufacturingResponsibilities:<BR>* Design automation systems for the custom manufacturing of products and components.<BR>* Develop software programs for controls, vision systems, and human machine interface.<BR>* Lead in the planning and startup of complex control, information, and automation systems.<BR>* Write and/or conduct experiments for proof of concept testing and design validation testing.<BR>* Design equipment safety systems to ANSI B11.18<BR>* Provide support to operations and research and development groups as needed.<BR>* Follow and improve the area processes.Qualifications:<BR>* B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.<BR>* Minimum 4 years combined experience in industrial controls, robotics, vision systems and micro controller engineering.<BR>* Skilled in PLC and C based programming languages.<BR>* Working knowledge of CAD systems for electrical schematics, PCB layout, mechanical drawings, and process simulation.<BR>* Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.<BR>* Willing to travel up to 25%.<BR>* Ability to adhere to SEL''s tobacco free workplace policy.<BR>* Ability to learn new skills and responsibilities.Preferred Qualifications:<BR>* Mechanical and electrical design of robotic subsystems.<BR>* Demonstrated history of project ownership and leadership.<BR>* Micro controller subsystem design.<BR>* Familiarity with Design of Experiment tools.To Apply For This Position:We ask all candidates to submit their resume through our website at www.selinc.com/applynow.
