Enjoy the smaller town life: country space, freedom from traffic, easy access to recreational activities in nearby mountains, rivers, and forests, as well as great schools and universities.Automation Systems Engineer - Petro-ChemicalResponsibilities:<BR>* Maintain a high level of technical expertise in electric power system communication/automation and SEL equipment and solutions for protection and automation.<BR>* Work with Product Engineering, act as liaison between articulated customer and field needs and R&D to work with them to evaluate and produce products/programs appropriate to our business and their needs.<BR>* Represent SEL practice through influencing and leading in technical societies, technical committees and conferences.<BR>* Provide technical guidance to SEL S&CS personnel via technical support, training, and collaboration on preparing responses to RFIs and RFPs.<BR>* Actively identify, create, and document system solutions that aggregate and promote SEL core products, systems integration and automation, and best engineering practices.<BR>* Lead in creation of communication/automation system performance tests and automation scheme testing.<BR>* Lead in training and assisting customers with the installation, commissioning and operation of automation and control systems, both on-site and from SEL offices.<BR>* Follow and improve applicable processes.<BR>* Provide support for other SEL marketing, sales, application engineering and development activities.Qualifications:<BR>* B.S. and/or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience<BR>* Minimum 4 years working knowledge of electrical power systems, communication/automation practices and philosophies.<BR>* Detailed knowledge of communication/automation applications in the Petro-Chemical Industry<BR>* Excellent technical training, speaking and writing skills<BR>* Willing to travel up to 40% both nationally and internationally<BR>* Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities<BR>* Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment<BR>* Background check results satisfactory to SEL<BR>* Ability to adhere to SEL''s tobacco free workplace policy<BR>* Negative drug test result(s)Preferred Qualifications:<BR>* Experience being a part of project teams<BR>* Utility, Industrial, Consulting or System Integrator experienceTo Apply For This Position:We ask all candidates to submit their </font></td>
