Enjoy the smaller town life: country space, freedom from traffic, easy access to recreational activities in nearby mountains, rivers, and forests, as well as great schools and universities.Responsibilities:<BR>* Design and maintain Database platforms.<BR>* Implement and enforce standards and controls for Database systems.<BR>* Maintain and optimize tables and schemas, including indexes.<BR>* Manage Database replication and data transfer.<BR>* Administer Database security.<BR>* Monitor and tune Database performance.<BR>* Work with Infrastructure to optimize systems and storage for Database performance needs.<BR>* Perform change management for Database systems and content.<BR>* Document schemas, relationships and data flow.<BR>* Perform capacity planning for Database systems.<BR>* Verify Database backup and restore processes.<BR>* Deploy and upgrade Database software.<BR>* Provide Database consulting throughout the organization as needed.<BR>* Act as liaison between infrastructure and Business Systems group.<BR>* Manage multiple project assignments and timelines based on priorities from different groups.<BR>* Stay abreast of industry developments appropriate to computer services.<BR>* Follow and improve Information Services area processes.Qualifications:<BR>* Four year CS or MIS degree (or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience)<BR>* Three or more years of experience of SQL Database administration as primary role<BR>* Experience managing Database in Windows and Unix environments<BR>* Experience administering replication and clustering<BR>* Experience writing and maintaining scripts<BR>* Ability to work with multiple groups to solve issues<BR>* Strong writing, speaking, documentation and training skills<BR>* Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities<BR>* Background check results satisfactory to SEL<BR>* Negative drug test result(s)Preferred Qualifications:<BR>* Application development experience using and building SQL Databases<BR>* SAN Database storage experience<BR>* Multi-Value Database, i.e. Unidata, Universe or PickTo Apply For This Position:We ask all candidates to submit their resume through our website at www.selinc.com/applynow.
