The Electronics Technician - R&D position is at our Pullman headquarters, located in Eastern Washington, where you?ll enjoy an unmatched quality of life; the benefits of smaller town life; country space and fresh air; freedom from traffic; easy access to recreational activities in nearby mountains, rivers, and forests; and great schools and universities.Electronics Technician - Research & DevelopmentResponsibilities:<BR>* Performs basic electronic hardware tests in accordance with defined engineering procedures or guidelines under the direction of engineers or more experienced technicians.<BR>* Builds engineering prototypes under the direction of an electrical engineer or experienced technician. Documents prototype construction and maintains pertinent engineering records.<BR>* Assists engineers in the evaluation of new electronic components.<BR>* Assembles test fixtures, load banks, and other components common to product development.<BR>* Provides support to engineering staff as needed.<BR>* Processes Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) of modest complexity under the direction of engineers or more experienced technicians.<BR>* Follows and improves R & D processes.Qualifications:<BR>* Two-year electronic technology or related associate degree<BR>* Working knowledge of modern analog and digital electronics and electronic circuits<BR>* Familiarity with modern test equipment<BR>* Strong writing and speaking skills<BR>* Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities<BR>* Ability to work cooperatively in team environment<BR>* Background check results satisfactory to SEL<BR>* Negative drug test result(s)Preferred Qualifications:<BR>* Familiarity with C and assembly languages<BR>* Experience with O.S. and computer equipment<BR>* Practical knowledge of 3-phase power systemsTo Apply For This Position:We ask all candidates to submit their resume through our website at www.selinc.com/applynow.
