Enjoy the smaller town life: country space, freedom from traffic, easy access to recreational activities in nearby mountains, rivers, and forests, as well as great schools and universities.FPGA/RTL/Digital Design Engineer (Communications)Responsibilities:<BR>* Participate in preparation of system level specifications for networking products.<BR>* High speed FPGA Design, Simulation and Verification with VHDL.<BR>* Analyze, design, and develop conventional high speed digital circuits as required. Demonstrate and document product and circuit robustness using computer simulations, conventional analysis and standard testing methodologies.<BR>* Conduct and participate in design and code reviews.<BR>* Write and analyze test plans, conduct design tests and evaluate test results.<BR>* Prepare and maintain product documentation, including specifications, project notebooks, and design documentation.<BR>* Provide and maintain accurate project plans.<BR>* Follow and improve R & D processes.Qualifications:<BR>* B.S. and/or M.S. in Electrical Engineering<BR>* Typically with 4 - 8 years of combined experience in the following areas:<BR>* Designing FPGAs for networking products<BR>* High speed digital circuit design<BR>* Experience with Xilinx and Altera FPGA design and verification tools<BR>* High speed board level digital circuit design<BR>* Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills<BR>* Working knowledge of project management processes and procedures<BR>* Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities<BR>* Ability to work cooperatively in team environment<BR>* Background check results satisfactory to SEL<BR>* Ability to adhere to SEL''s tobacco free workplace policy<BR>* Negative drug test result(s)Preferred Qualifications:<BR>* Experience with firmware development using C, C++ etc<BR>* Digital Signal Processing experience<BR>* Working knowledge of Ethernet switching, Layer 2 protocols and Ethernet standardsTo Apply For This Position:We ask all candidates to submit their resume through our website at www.selinc.com/applynow.
