<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Lead Hardware Engineer (Multiple Openings)<BR><BR>The Lead Hardware Engineer at SCHWEITZER ENGINEERING LABORATORIES, INC. (SEL) serves as a team lead in the design, development, and analysis of complex analog and digital electronic circuits. Additional job duties will include: (1) leading multiple projects and programs of moderate complexity including participating in the executive project processes and leading engineers, associate engineers and technicians in product development processes; (2) leading the development of system level product specifications of moderate complexity and assisting in the development of hardware product specifications of high complexity; (3) designing, implementing, and documenting all firmware and software utilized in hardware product development; (4) scheduling and leading hardware design reviews; (5) demonstrating and documenting product and circuit robustness using computer simulations, conventional analysis, and standard testing methodologies; (6) writing and analyzing test plans, conducting and supervising design tests, and evaluating test results; (7) providing product cost estimates, detailed labor estimates, and project plans; (8) undertaking improvements of SEL research and development processes; (9) preparing and maintaining product documentation, bills of material, project notebooks and instruction manuals; and (10) participating in industry technical meetings, seminars, and conferences. In carrying out the required job duties, the incumbent will deploy his or her knowledge of: (1) analog circuit design; (2) power supply design; (3) digital design with microprocessors; and (4) linear and nonlinear circuits. <BR><BR>These full-time positions are with SEL at its headquarters in Pullman, Washington located at 2350 NE Hopkins Court, Pullman, Washington 99163. <BR><BR>Candidates must possess, at minimum, a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or related. All candidates must also possess knowledge, as evidenced by passing a basic technical proficiency test, of at least two of the four following subject areas: (1) analog circuit design; (2) power supply design; (3) digital design with microprocessors; and (4) linear and nonlinear circuits. Note: All candidates for all engineering positions at SEL must pass a basic technical proficiency test related to the subject job.
