Enjoy the smaller town life: country space, freedom from traffic, easy access to recreational activities in nearby mountains, rivers, and forests, as well as great schools and universities.Mechanical Engineer - Building SystemsResponsibilities:<BR>* Creates, reviews and checks mechanical plans and specifications for new construction. additions and remodeling of company facilities to comply with local, state and federal standards.<BR>* Prepares cost estimates for capital planning and for repair projects where material and equipment are procured by requisition.<BR>* Checks and approves or rejects all contractor?s submittals and/or vouchers for payment against progress of engineering projects.<BR>* Coordinates engineering activities with other departments.<BR>* Provides mechanical engineering services and advice to other professional engineering or architectural personnel within the work unit; designs or reviews the design of other professional mechanical engineers for HVAC systems, refrigeration, plumbing, power houses and other mechanical appurtenances.<BR>* Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew.<BR>* May direct other professional engineers and draftsmen.<BR>* Follow and improve engineering area processes.<BR>* Performs other work as required.Qualifications:<BR>* PE license in the branch of mechanical engineering in the State of Washington (WA & ID) or ability to ability to license within 6 months<BR>* B.S. and/or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering<BR>* Strong writing, documentation and speaking skills<BR>* Problem solving skills<BR>* Strong team leadership/project management experience<BR>* Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities<BR>* Ability to work cooperatively in team environment<BR>* Background check results satisfactory to SEL<BR>* Ability to adhere to SEL''s tobacco free workplace policy<BR>* Negative drug test result(s)Preferred Qualifications:<BR>* 5-10 years design experience<BR>* 1-5 years commissioning experience<BR>* Mechanical Commissioning CertificateTo Apply For This Position:We ask all candidates to submit their resume through our website at www.selinc.com/applynow.
