Enjoy the smaller town life: country space, freedom from traffic, easy access to recreational activities in nearby mountains, rivers, and forests, as well as great schools and universities.Responsibilities:<BR>* Technical lead for packaging on specific projects; will manage, design, test and implement cost effective packaging company wide.<BR>* Define technical standards related to packaging.<BR>* Analyze packaging issues and determine root cause to ultimately solve product packaging-related design problems in an innovative, timely and cost effective fashion.<BR>* Lead new cost saving measures as it relates to packaging and shipping of our products.<BR>* Evaluate and recommend process improvements, including packaging redesign and alterations etc.<BR>* Verifies and validates effectiveness of packaging designs by conducting packaging environmental tests such as shock, vibration and compression testing per ISTA standards.<BR>* Analyze and process Engineering Change Orders; coordinate with Product Engineers.<BR>* Participate in troubleshooting and problem solving of manufacturing issues.<BR>* Provide technical leadership to product operations; assist supervisors with new techniques, procedures, processes and problem solving.Qualifications:<BR>* B.S. in Packaging, Manufacturing , Industrial or Mechanical engineering or equivalent experience<BR>* 3-5 years experience in product package development, preferably in electronic and industrial products<BR>* Experience should include design with multiple methods such as: corrugated, folding cartons, thermoform, pulp trays and fabricated and molded cushioning foams<BR>* Manufacturing experience including quality methods/ISO 9000<BR>* Excellent leadership and communication skills<BR>* Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities<BR>* Ability to work cooperatively in team environment<BR>* Background check results satisfactory to SEL<BR>* Negative drug test result(s)Preferred Qualifications:<BR>* Knowledge/experience in electronic system level assembly<BR>* Quality control experience<BR>* 2 years experience in electronic manufacturing including surface mount technology and plated through hole processes<BR>* Design of Experiments training a plusTo Apply For This Position:We ask all candidates to submit their resume through our website at www.selinc.com/applynow.
